Valir Health is pleased to offer our employees a superior employee benefit package. Our benefit plans emphasize CHOICE, giving employees the opportunity to design an overall package that meets their individual needs. Below you will find a summary of our complete benefits package. We will be happy to provide full details upon request.

Benifit Summary for Full Time Employees

  • Paid Time Off – Vacation accrues at 3.33 hours/pay period, which equals 80 hours/year. Up to 80 unused hours will roll over at the end of each year. Sick leave accrues at 1.33 hours/pay period, equaling 32 hours/year. Unused sick leave will continue to roll over to the next year up to a maximum of 200 hours. Time off accruals start the 1st day of work, however, cannot be taken until 90 days after date of hire. Employees will receive 6 paid holidays a year: New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Holiday pay is 8 hours. If you typically work 12-hour shifts, you can supplement your holiday pay with vacation pay. If you are scheduled to work on a holiday, you will be paid time and a half for all hours worked, and you may take off one day within that same pay period to receive your holiday pay. Holidays DO NOT roll over.


  • Health Insurance – Valir offers health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield ‘s Blue Options Plan. This is a pure PPO plan that does not require designation of a primary care physician. Office visit co-pays are $25 plus the plan provides a very good prescription drug benefit. Valir pays a portion of the cost of health insurance. Coverage in effect the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.


  • Life Insurance - Valir covers $50,000 Life and an additional $50,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment to full time employees. Additional coverage is optional. Coverage in effect first of the month after 30 days of employment. Coverage is through Prudential.


  • Short Term Disability – Pay starts after 7 days up to 90 days and is optional. This benefit, if chosen, starts the first of the month after 30 days of employment.


  • Long Term Disability – This is also optional and pay begins on the 91st day up to 5 years. This benefit, if chosen, starts the first of the month after 30 days of employment.


  • Dental – Optional. This benefit, if chosen, starts the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Choice of two Humana Dental plans.


  • Vision – This is a true vision plan, not a discount service and is optional. This benefit, if chosen, starts the first of the month after 30 days of employment.


  • 401K – Valir matches 50% of the first 4% of employee’s elected contributions – Optional. This benefit, if chosen, starts the first of a quarter after completing 30 days of employment.


  • Flexible Spending Accounts - Valir offer flexible spending account benefits through PayFlex which includes a debit card for medical spending. This is an optional benefit effective the first of the month after 30 days of employment.
